Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to ODYO, so we commit to guarding the safety, privacy, and accuracy of the personal information the company collects, uses, or communicates, in full conformity with the applicable laws.

This privacy policy constitutes a statement of the principles and guidelines regarding the protection of the personal information of individuals who are our patients, our service suppliers, and others (“you”) (with the exception of our staff, whose personal information is collected, used and communicated in compliance with our privacy policy for personnel).

 

SECTION 1: CONSENT

By providing personal information to ODYO, you recognize that we may communicate, use and collect this information in accordance with this privacy policy.

You may withdraw or refuse your consent at any time. In this case, it may not be possible for us to provide you with or continue to provide you with certain services or information.

We may also call upon third-party services, such as Google, to:

  • Conduct remarketing, which is distributing advertisements on other websites, including via Google Analytics; in such cases, the concerned third parties, including Google, can distribute ads on websites across the internet;
  • Use the following features of Google Analytics: reports based on the saved impressions on Google Display Network, integration with DoubleClick Campaign Manager and Google Analytics reports on the demographic data of internet users and their interests;
  • Collect, analyze and/or gather your personal information (such as internet users’ IP address, sex, age, and interests), as well as create Google Analytics reports on the demographic data of internet users and their interests, in order to help us understand how visitors interact with our website and to improve our products.

The companies conducting remarketing can combine the use of first-party cookies, such as Google for example, and third-party cookies, like DoubleClick cookies, to gather personal information and to determine the relationship between the registered visits to our website and the advertising impressions, the other uses of advertising services and the interactions with these advertising impressions and these advertising services. To measure the effectiveness of our ads, these companies may also use internet tags or invisible pixels to account for certain information regarding your visits to our website and to the websites that have links to our site and that advertise it.

If so desired, you can deactivate Google Analytics for the Display Ads. You can also customize the advertisements on the Google Display Network. Go to https://www.google.com/settings/ads to set your preferences.

How do I withdraw my consent?

If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use, or disclosure of your information, at anytime, by contacting us at info@odyo.ca 

 

SECTION 2 – PERSONAL DATA 

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

 

SECTION 3 – MEDIA

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

 

SECTION 4 – FORMS / COOKIES 

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

 

SECTION 5: EMBEDDED CONTENT 

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

 

SECTION 6 – RIGHTS 

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

 

SECTION 8 – SECURITY

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

 

SECTION 9 – AGE OF CONSENT

By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.

 

SECTION 10 – CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material​ changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.
If our store is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to sell products to you.
